6 from the App Store listing · scroll →GetBereit prepares people for the ÖSD and ÖIF German exams — the ones that stand between a resident of Austria and a visa, a citizenship application, or a job. I live in Vienna and watched enough people grind through this to know the study material is mostly bad.
The distribution loop
The interesting part isn't the app, it's how people find it.
Alongside the app there's a generator that produces short vertical (1080×1920) videos
teaching German for the exams, built with Remotion and narrated by Azure Neural TTS in
Austrian de-AT — the accent the exam is actually conducted in. Optional imagery comes
from fal.ai.
Every video ends with a call to download GetBereit. But the video isn't an ad with a lesson attached — it is the lesson, and the ad is the last four seconds. Someone who watches it has already received the thing the app sells, which is the only version of this that people don't scroll past.
Because the videos are generated from a definition rather than edited by hand, the marginal cost of the next lesson is close to zero, and the catalogue can cover A1 through C1 without a studio.
